On the hard

We are on "the hard" and starting the long job of emptying the boat. Most of Deltaville seems to be away on holiday, so we can use this time to get all the clutter out of the way.
The brakes have seized on the van after less than 3 weeks, where they were fine after nearly 3 months in Georgia.
The yard is quite full, but not as many people staying with their boats as in the cooler times of the year. We have bought a big window fan and hope we can manage the heat. As soon as we wake we are bathed in sweat, but the nights are noticeably cooler than in Georgia. We started to notice the difference by North Carolina, but it's still hot by any standards. We have an awful lot to do with the boat, but are hoping to have it all done by November. Keep your fingers crossed.
